Meet The Doctors


Peter R. Bond, DDS, MS

Owner/Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Bond was born and raised in Paso Robles, California.  After graduating from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1998, he practiced as a general dentist in Oregon for five years before returning to Loma Linda to complete the two-year pediatric specialty program, receiving the specialty certificate and a Masters Degree in Pediatric Dentistry.  He opened his Escondido pediatric dental practice in 2005.  Dr. Bond lives in North County San Diego with his wife, Karen, and three daughters.  

Dr. Bond is currently not seeing patients.


Shanti Gopalan, DDS

Certified, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Shanti Gopalan was born and raised in Chennai, India.  She graduated from Madras University with a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery).  While in India, she participated in several dental camps helping the underserved population.  After getting married, she moved to Canada then to the United States.  She graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2003 and completed a one-year General Practice Residency at Staten Island University Hospital.  She completed the two-year pediatric residency program at NYU Hospitals Center in 2017.  Dr. Shanti lives in San Diego with her husband, daughter, and son.


Lorraine Lin, DDS

Certified, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry

Lorraine Lin was born in Boston and raised in the Los Angeles area. She graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2003. She completed the two-year pediatric residency program at Rady Children's Hospital in 2007. Dr. Lin first joined Dr. Bond's practice in 2007 then left in 2009 to get married and move to New York. In June of 2013, she moved back to the area and rejoined Dr. Bond's practice.  Dr. Lin lives in San Diego with her husband and daughter.


Ruth Shu, DDS

Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry

After working as a dentist for 30+ years including nine years with Dr. Bond's practice, Dr. Shu retired (for now) at the end of December 2018.  She will truly miss all of her patients!
